Artists brought a lot of color and imagination to the Clay County Fairgrounds ahead of this year’s Agricultural Fair to paint 16 picnic tables that will be used during the fair. Picnic Project not only will put the skills of local artists on display but each will be sold during an auction to benefit 16 local charities. The first-year project was sponsored by Tocoi Engineering and Stay Suites Orange Park. The charities that will benefit from the project are: Clay Education Foundation; AMIkids Clay; All Creations Intertribal Native American Community; SAFE Animal Shelter; PAL; Quit Tobacco; BASCA; Helping Hounds Project; CJ Acres Farm; Operation Barnabas; Rita Championships; Mercy Support Services; Special Olympics of Florida; Hope Therapy; Project Chance; and, TSI Cares Foundation.
