ORANGE PARK - Oakleaf Junior High School won the Northeast Florida Athletic Conference boys and girls track titles in overwhelming fashion with the Yellow Jackets able to accrue over 100 points in both sides; 153-65 over Lake Asbury for the boys and 109-95 in a slightly closer meet with Lakeside Junior High.
The event took place at Ridgeview High School and was staged by JAC (Jacksonville Athletic Club) Timing out of Jacksonville.
Oakleaf got wins in the 100 meters by Jasmine Silkert ahead of three Lakeside sprinters, then won the girls 4 x 100 over Lakeside by nearly two seconds. Silklert also won the 200 over Lakeside's Nyla Kelley and won the high jump with a 5'-0" leap.
Oakleaf got big team points with a 1-2-3 finish in the 400 meters for girls with Aniya Bussey leading a trio with Lauren Okam and Kayla Henry. Bussey also won the long jump over Wilkinson's Gracie Palmer.15'-.75" - 14'3.25".
Oakleaf's girls won the day's final event; the 4 x 400 over Lake Asbury with a 4:44.02 split.
For Lakeside, the discus got big points with Abbie Grybb and Alex Davis finishing first and second with Davis second to Wilkinson's Tamyia Walker in shot put.

For the boys title, Oakleaf got a 1-2 finish in the 100 meters with Landon Nichols beating teammate Juvens Camphort, 11.61-11.65 in one of the closest races of the day with Lakeside's Brandon Cunningham in third also close at 11.88.
The Oakleaf pair also went 1-2 in the long jump with Nichols winning at 20'-4.25".
Oakleaf distance runner Nevin Luna, who won the Bob Hayes 800 two weeks ago, was a winner in the 1600 in 5:14.82 over Lakeside's Andrew Lou, 5:15.11. Lou returned to the track to win the 800 in 2:18.99 over Noah Biebel of Wilkinson, 2:20.46.
In the 400, Oakleaf got a win from Trey Pierce in 56.21 over Wilkinson's Demarcus Bussey, second in 56.60.
Lake Asbury got a 1-2 finish in the shotput with Reimey Johnson throwing 43'-11.25" and Jaiden Benjamin second at 42'-4". Benjamin won the discus at 113'-8" wiht Jack Jackson of Oakleaf second at 112'-2".
