ORANGE PARK – St. Johns River State College is reaching out to community members, business leaders and the local industry to provide feedback on how the College can better meet the educational needs of Clay, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
An online survey is available for community stakeholders to provide feedback on the ongoing needs and demands for educational and workforce programming. Participants are encouraged to complete the survey by March 1, 2020.
SJR State President Joe Pickens said everyone is asked to participate in the online survey.
“As the community’s college, our mission is to promote excellence in teaching and learning to enrich the lives of our students and the communities we serve,” Pickens said. “We are interested in feedback from all of the constituents we serve to best assess our local needs. The goal is to get broad-based feedback to assist us in our future planning.”
The survey includes questions regarding various career clusters and occupations, including agriculture, food and natural resources, architecture and construction, hospitality and tourism, and health care. Answering the survey questions is entirely voluntary. The College will record and combine responses anonymously. Individual attributions will not be made.
The survey is available on the College website or by accessing this link: https://baseline.campuslabs.com/sjrsc/perkinsworkforcestakeholdersurvey.
SJR State conducted a similar survey in 2016-17 as part of the College's strategic analysis for new programming. The College used the analysis to introduce programs in engineering/manufacturing, medical office and practical nursing. The 2017 analysis is located on the College web site for review at http://sjrstate.edu/facts.html.
The College was established in 1958 as a public institution serving Clay, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
