St. Johns Country Day School baseball, the Class 1A defending champions, opened up 2025 with a 6-2 loss to Bolles on Monday with the Bulldogs hitting a two run single and a three run homer in the fifth inning to erase a 1-0 fourth inning lead protected by pitcher Austin Stratmann who left with 10 strikeouts. St. Johns got homers from Nick Bowden and T.J. Sunderhaus for their runs.
