FLEMING ISLAND - With lead scorers Ty Teschner and Brylee Thomas knocking in goals for the Fleming Island High boys and girls lacrosse teams, both teams have been playing solid play as teams gear up for the final two weeks of the season and head to playoffs.
Teschner leads the Fleming Island boys team, now at 4-6-1, with 23 goals with teammate Daniel Hawley adding 16 as the Golden Eagles finish with Creekside (6-3), Ocala Forest (1-7), Matanzas (2-6), Buchholz (4-6) and Menendez (2-6) up to April 4.
For the girls, Brylee Thomas is top goal scorer with 15 goals for the 4-4-0 Lady Golden Eagles with a handful of gaols coming from Delaney Feder with 10 scores and nine goals apiece from Carson Mastantuno and Meredith Giebeig.
The Lady Golden Eagles finish with Buchholz (6-2), Riverside (0-7), Gainesville (10-1), Creekside (2-6) and Wolfson (2-4) up to April 3.
