• Ridgeview’s football team beats rival Middleburg, 14-13, in overtime.

30 years ago, 1990

• PO2 Marion Robinson is selected as the Clay County Chamber of Commerce’s Military Person of the Year, while PO1 Carrie McCutcheon was selected as the Military Reservist of the Year and Karen Rumpf was selected as the Military Spouse of the Year.

• The county receives bids from 13 companies to build a $5 million Clay County Courthouse Annex.

• The Green Cove Springs City Council votes 5-0 to supply water to an industrial area south of town from a 12-inch main that serves the Food Lion Distribution Center.
