Craig Morgan brings his ‘God, Family, Country Tour’ to Thrasher-Horne

ORANGE PARK – Multi-faceted entertainer, Craig Morgan, has made a name for himself as a country music icon, TV personality, celebrated outdoorsman and patriotic Army veteran.
One of country music's best-loved artists, Morgan has charted 25 songs on Billboard and thrills massive crowds with signature hits including “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “International Harvester,” “This Ole Boy,” “Soldier,” “Wake Up Loving You,” “That's What I Love About Sunday” and his faith-filled tribute to his son Jerry, “The Father, My Son and The Holy Ghost.” Craig received one of country music's highest honors when he was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Prior to becoming a country music star and TV sensation, Morgan spent 17 years serving our country in the Army and Army Reserves. Morgan remains an avid supporter of America's military personnel and has made 16 overseas trips to perform for our troops. He is a recipient of the 2006 USO Merit Award and in 2018 was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, one of the highest awards the Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian, in recognition of his significant dedication to our military men and women around the world.

Rimes’ The Story … So Far Tour coming to Thrasher-Horne

ORANGE PARK – GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, actress and author LeAnn Rimes announced her upcoming tour, the story…so far, in support of her 25th music anniversary and forthcoming album, God’s Work.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band headed to Thrasher-Horne Center

ORANGE PARK – With a refreshed lineup and newfound energy, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band remains one of the most accomplished bands in American roots music.
The band will bring its legendary setlist to the Thrasher-Horne Center on Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. Tickets, which start at $39, are now on sale.
Following an extended 50th anniversary tour, the ensemble grew to a six-piece in 2018 for the first time since their early jug band days. The group now includes Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter , Jim Photoglo, Ross Holmes and Jaime Hanna. All six members also sing, and when their voices merge, the harmonies add a powerful new component for the legendary band. And with the father-son pairing of Jeff and Jaime Hanna, the band carries on a country music tradition of blood harmony.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band played their first gig in 1966 in Southern California as a jug band and by 1969 had become a cornerstone of the burgeoning country-rock community. Their career breakthrough came in 1970 with the release of the record Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy and the single “Mr. Bojangles,” a folksy Top 10 pop hit that remains a staple of their live show.
During a tour stop in Nashville around that time, Earl Scruggs and his family came backstage to say hello. That introduction led to a friendship and some of the connections the band needed to record Will the Circle Be Unbroken. That three-disc album brought Nitty Gritty Dirt Band together with a number of country, folk and bluegrass legends. Heroes like Roy Acuff, Mother Maybelle Carter, Jimmy Martin, Merle Travis and Doc Watson joined the scruffy, young band to record country music standards such as “I Saw the Light” and “Keep on the Sunnyside.” The acclaimed project is considered a landmark recording in American music.

The Marshall Tucker Band’s 50th anniversary tour coming to Thrasher-Horne

ORANGE PARK – The Marshall Tucker Band came together as a young, hungry and quite driven six-piece outfit in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1972, having duly baptized themselves with the name of a blind piano tuner after they found it inscribe on a key to their original rehearsal space – and they've been in tune with tearing it up on live stages both big and small all across the globe ever since.
Plus, the band's mighty music catalog, consisting of more than 20 studio albums and a score of live releases, has racked up multi-platinum album sales many times over, and the band will bring it to the Thrasher-Horne Center on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m.
A typically rich MTB setlist is bubbling over with a healthy dose of hits like the heartfelt singalong "Heard It in a Love Song," the insistent pleading of "Can't You See" – the signature tune of MTB's late co-founding lead guitarist and then-principal songwriter Toy Caldwell, the testifying "Fire on the Mountain," the wanderlust gallop of "Long Hard Ride" and the explosive testimony of "Ramblin," to name but a few.

Always …Patsy Cline musical headed to Thrasher-Horne

ORANGE PARK – “Always…Patsy Cline” has enjoyed great success all over the United States, including a successful run off-Broadway. It has been one of the most produced musicals in America according to American Theatre Magazine. “Always…Patsy Cline” has also been enjoyed internationally by audiences in Canada, the United Kinghdom and Australia.
The group will perform at the Thrasher-Horne Center on Jan. 8, 2023.
“Always…Patsy Cline” is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death.
The musical play, complete with down-home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy’ unforgettable hits such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Walking After Midnight” – 27 songs in all. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger, which were consistently signed “Love ALWAYS… Patsy Cline.”

Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Rumours, to perform in January

ORANGE PARK – Rumours, lead singer Mekenzie Jackson, in the part of Stevie Nicks was bewitched by the music of Fleetwood Mac at a young age and as it turns out she can duplicate the iconic singer’s voice so well that she and Rumours effortlessly transport audiences to the height of Fleetwood Mac’s amazing success. Thrasher-Horne to host Chicago tribute band, Brass Transit

ORANGE PARK – Brass Transit was formed in 2008 and brought together eight of the most talented and accomplished award-winning musicians. Their sole purpose was to pay tribute to one of the world’s greatest and most successful pop/rock groups of all time, CHICAGO.
Since then, the group has toured North America dazzling audiences with their flawless performances and spectacular attention to every detail of the CHICAGO songbook. The band will make a stop at the Trasher-Horne Center on March 23, 2023.
