The Green Cove Springs Junior High cheer team recently finished seventh nationally at the 40th UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando.
Competition came from 34 states, nine countries, 950 teams and 19,848 athletes. Green Cove Springs competed against 22 other teams in the large junior high division. After competing over two days, the team placed seventh in the nation – the highest ranking of any Clay County Junior High team.
