ORANGE PARK – Three ninth-grade students at St. Johns Country Day School were selected to participate in Youth Leadership Council, a year-long program for high school students with demonstrated leadership ability and potential.
Kennedy Brown and Patrick Walsh, both of Fleming Island, and Shannon Hodges of Orange Park were selected based on their academics, track records of proven leadership ability and interest in addressing the issues confronting First Coast communities.
The school released the following statement:
“Each of these kind students has demonstrated great leadership potential and will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills by participating in a variety of retreats, human services, criminal justice, diversity, government and business. It will be a privilege to see how much our students grown in their leadership skills. We look forward to many great things to come from each of them.”
Youth Leadership Council Jacksonville works toward a mission to educate, connect and inspire diverse leaders to build strength in their communities.
