U.S. Marshals captured a man Monday who was wanted in connection with the April 1 murder of 26-year-old Dylan McCurdy.

John Emory Wilson was tackled and handcuffed as he left a grocery store in Norfolk, Va. He was arraigned on two counts of second-degree murder Tuesday. His next court date is Aug. 6, and he’s expected to extradited back to Jacksonville to face charge for killing McCurdy, a former Clay High wrestler, and 32-year-old Trevor Matthew.

McCurdy was doing construction work at Mayport three months ago when his body was found on the 1100 block of Featherwood Drive South. He died of a gunshot wound.

Wilson also was wanted for the July 30, 2018, murder of 32-year-old Trevor Matthew. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said evidence linked the two crimes.
