GREEN COVE SPRINGS – More than 100 volunteers gave up their Sunday afternoon for tram and customer service training ahead of Thursday’s opening of the Clay County Agriculture Fair. Board of Directors member Bruce Butler, who’s in charge of trams and safety, ran several sessions of training to make sure all answers were answered ahead of the fair’s 11-day run. According to fair executive director Tasha Hyder, more than 1,000 volunteer every year at the fair.
