Voting is underway for the 2019 Clay Today reader's choice contest. This new Clay County-based contest will feature dozens of categories and opportunities for area businesses to be recognized as the best in their line of work!

Readers, friends, family and customers vote for their favorite businesses, professional services, schools, restaurants and more are now open at www.claytodayonline.com/bestof. There are more than 300 categories to choose from this year, with everything from best lawyer and best car repair shop to best burger and best place to work, all with the goal of highlighting all the reasons people like to call Clay County home.

Voting will run through April 19, during which each person can vote once per day in as many or as few categories as he or she wants. There will also be a ballot in the paper that readers can fill out and turn in to our office.

The Best Of platform on The Clay Today website will feature lists of nominees in an easy-to-use format. Nominees can participate in advertising packages that promote their entry by expanding their listing to feature additional details on the business.

The contest will culminate in the First Best of Clay Annual Publication, where the winners are announced for the first time! Each winner will receive a framed “Best Of” Certificate, a cling on office window sticker, the "Best Of” PDF for use in future advertising and bragging rights to be called the “BEST OF” for their business type. The list of winners will be published in a special Publication and distributed county-wide in May with the opportunity for each business to promote their victory to the community.

Contest categories include: Best of the Best, Auto and Transportation, Business, Community, Eat and Drink, Education, Home and Finance, Medical, Professionals, Shopping and Commerce.
