ORANGE PARK – A woman who refused to leave the HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital emergency room was arrested last Sunday night and later charged with possessing drugs in her coat when she was searched during the booking process at the Clay County Jail.
Misty Regina Howard, 43, of Orange Park, added possession of fentanyl, marijuana and smuggling contraband into the jail charges to her trespassing and providing a false name to law enforcement charge after an off-duty Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was working as a security officer at the hospital detained her when she repeatedly refused to leave.
According to the arrest report, she told the hospital her name was Miranda Morris. When they couldn’t identify her in the database, they arrested her. They learned her true identity after she was fingerprinted.
Her bond was $35,012.
