OAKLEAF – Parishioners of Trinity Baptist Church celebrated the groundbreaking for a new 16,500 square-foot building at its Oakleaf location. Trinity Oakleaf is one of three Trinity church locations in the Jacksonville area.
The new building will include an auditorium, a community plaza with café seating and couches, an indoor playground that will be open to the public during the week, multi-purpose meeting rooms, and large-group and classroom spaces for Trinity Kid’s ministry.
The project will include the construction of a new parking lot, in addition to existing parking already on the perimeter of the building site. The building will be sitting on an eight-acre-plus property in the heart of the Oakleaf Plantation community.
Trinity, which has served Jacksonville for more than 100 years, launched Trinity Oakleaf in 2014 as its second location. Trinity Oakleaf currently holds multiple worship services every Sunday in the auditorium of a nearby school in the Oakleaf area.
Trinity has two other church locations: Jacksonville’s westside at Hammond Boulevard and its new Mandarin location on Orange Picker Road which launched on Easter.
