KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – A 49-year-old man was transported from the Putnam County Jail to face a Clay County Sheriff’s Office’s warrant that accused him of selling methamphetamine about 880 feet from the Community Church of Keystone Heights and with using his cellphone to set up the deal.

Ryan David Fitz was arrested on Monday, July 6, after a deputy with the Narcotics Unit said Fitz sold the drug on Feb. 24 to a person working with the sheriff’s office.

The bond for Fitz was set at $90,006.

CCSO charges man with child porn following arrest in May

GREEN COVE SPRINGS – A 19-year-old St. Augustine man turned himself in at the Clay County Jail on Tuesday, June 30, to face 10 counts of possessing, controlling or viewing child pornography.

Dylan Andrew Moss was originally arrested on May 25 for enticing a minor to leave her house at 1 a.m. without her parents’ consent. In addition to being charged with interference of custody, he was also charged with concealing an unholstered pistol in his backpack.

The sheriff’s office then added a lewd and lascivious behavior charge on May 26.

According to an affidavit for an arrest report, Moss had an electronic device containing at least 10 photographs or images of child sexual activity. Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies seized the device when he was arrested, and the agency waited to get a warrant before downloading the information.

Moss was released on June 3 after he posted a $50,503 bond. With his most recent arrest, Moss’s new bond was set at $750,030. He is scheduled to return to court on July 28.
