Austin R. Ace (Aase), Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Great Friend to so many, without any prior warning, passed away December 28, 2024, at his residence he cherished immensely. Born August 26, 1947, in Winthrop, MA. to Aksel and Agnes Aase. Austin spent his life in Pa. until moving to Florida in 1983. He graduated from Pottstown High School in 1965.
Austin pursued his passion for Engineering, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, from Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa., in 1982. Austin held Professional Engineering Licenses in multiple states dedicating himself to the safe construction of commercial and residential properties. Throughout his career, he worked as a Project Engineer for Construction Firms locally and also established his own Corporation of Engineering, Austin R. Ace, P.E. INC.
Proud of his 100% Scandinavian heritage, Austin served as President of the local Sons of Norway Chapter and was an active member of the Elks and Moose Lodges. The River House, Orange Park, was his favorite place to kick back next to the St. Johns River and enjoy the company of others while savoring a good drink, a fine cigar, and lively conversations.
Austin and Teresa loved to embark on many adventures riding their Harleys with many great friends.
They loved RV-ing and spent much time at Camp Blanding, Their Happy Place!
Austin is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa, 52 Years strong, His Son, Dana A. Ace, Pittsburg, Pa., His Daughter, Angela C. Ace, Green Cove Springs, Fla. Six grandchildren, Ciara, Ashleigh, Adele, Mason, Aksel, and Anders also great-grandchildren Adam and Harleigh. Austin's Sister, Arlene Stevens, and her boys Doug and Dennis Stevens still residing in PA. Numerous cousins in Norway. Austin loved his Father and Mother-In-Law very much, and Al and Gloria Trey Jr. had many adventures with them. His Family and Friends will remember him for his GIANT warmth, humor, and dedication to all of those he held dear. He also adored his Frenchies.
A celebration of Life will be held in the near future at Camp Blanding to honor Austin's Life and the impact he had on those around him. Valhalla now has a Champion Warrior amongst them.
