FLEMING ISLAND – With the snip of scissors on Thursday, Aug. 28, residents of Clay County started to receive expanded healthcare services at Baptist Medical Center Clay’s Emergency Department. The hospital added 11 new patient rooms, bringing the total to 27 at the Emergency Center. With this growth, the hospital is strengthening its unique model of care: two emergency centers under one roof – a Baptist Emergency Center for adults and a Wolfson Children's Hospital Emergency Center for patients 17 and younger.
