ORANGE PARK – Those who arrived two hours before School’s Cool was supposed to end last Saturday at the Orange Park Mall were already too late to get school supplies. That’s because so many arrived early and scooped up the 350 bookbags stuffed with back-to-school supplies, according to event organizer Doing What We Dream: Making Dreams a Reality. The organization specializes in youth mentorship programs, and it hosted two giveaways on August 2. They had a total of 700 bookbags – 350 each for Clay and Duval counties - and Clay’s were gone in one hour. The event was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bounce house, balloon artist, face painter and table games remained open.
