GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Guests enjoyed a laid-back evening, celebrating a Christmas theme at the Early Florida Village at the Clay County Fairgrounds on Friday, Dec. 12.
From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., families strolled through the village and heard live music, had their pictures taken with Santa Claus, shopped from a variety of local crafts vendors, made Christmas cookies with Clay Today’s Mrs. Claus’ Cookie Co., made s’mores at two fire pits, watched a free showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” participated in cake walks and several arts and crafts projects, drank apple cider and embraced holiday cheer.
Christmas in the Village will return on Friday, Dec. 19, with the showing of “A Christmas Story” from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. For advanced tickets, visit clayevents.org/p/tickets--deals. Tickets may be purchased at the gate.
