Cheryl Taylor passed away on 2/21/2026, in Green Cove Springs, FL. Cheryl dedicated 40 yrs to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher, where she was renowned for her nurturing approach and commitment to student success. Her compassion and dedication made her a beloved figure, often recalled as a favorite teacher by many of her former students.
Cheryl’s passion for life extended beyond the classroom.
She was an avid traveler, cherishing the opportunity to explore Europe and attend numerous class reunions, celebrating lifelong friendships. At home, Cheryl found joy in light gardening and relaxing by the lake, embracing the simple pleasures of life with her characteristic positivity.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, her brother, James Flesner, and her daughter, Debbie Dukes. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ilene Flesner.
Cheryl’s memory will live on not only through her family but also through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and enduring optimism. Her daughter Debbie lovingly said, “Mom, I love you more than all the universes combined.” Cheryl’s legacy of love, education, and friendship will continue to inspire all who knew her.
