ORANGE PARK - Anthony's Gourmet Catering took home the prize for "Best Bread Pudding" at the Clay County Chamber of Commerce's Bread Pudding Bake Off on Wednesday, a feat that raised more than $450 for two local nonprofits.
Clay Humane and Safe Animal Shelter were each presented with the money following the highly anticipated fundraising competition at the Hilltop Restaurant.
In addition to Anthony's, Clay Chamber President Jon Cantrell, Jenn Beaudry of B-Cool Air Conditioning and Heating, Courtney Hoard of Grumpy's Restaurant Middleburg and Geraldine Hartin of Hamilton and Hartin, P.A., judged a round of fresh desserts from three other teams: R&R Elite Catering, The Hilltop Restaurant, the Rolling Stoves and Event Divas.
Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook announced the winners, while the sold-out crowd also awarded R&R Elite Catering as the "Favorite Bread Pudding."
