Clay County School Board Public Notice Notice of Rule Development and Public Workshop

The School Board of Clay County, Florida, gives notice of the development of
policy(ies), as shown below, and that it will hold a rule development workshop to which all
persons are invited:
DATE and TIME: Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
PLACE: District Multi-Purpose Center - Walnut Street and Gratio Place, Green Cove Springs, FL
PURPOSE: To explain the proposal and to respond to questions or comments regarding the
policy being developed.
Subject Area to be Addressed: Notice of Rule Development for the Governance of the School Board
developed, or just that the subject area is as stated in the policy title above.
Purpose and Effect: The purpose of the rule development is to establish Bylaws for the Governance of the School Board.
Authority: The Board is authorized to make the proposed policy changes. This may
include the general home rule authority in FS 1001.32.
A draft copy of the policy being developed is not available at the time of this notice.
Any person who decides to appeal a decision with respect to a matter considered at the
workshop is hereby advised that, for such purpose, such person may need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the meeting is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon
which the appeal is to be based.
