Oakleaf caps off 5 game streak with a win over Ridgeview

Oakleaf capped off a five-game win streak with a 6-0 win over Ridgeview on Thursday behind strong pitching; 6Ks, and a double and triple from Jordan Clarke, below, and two stolen bases from Jaythian Arriaga, above, and an RBI single from Abrien Paseiro, center. Oakleaf is now 8-5 with a home game against Middleburg on Friday, April 5.

Oakleaf 4, Creekside 1

Oakleaf High softball followed a 13-6 win over Keystone Heights with a dramatic eighth-inning two-run triple from Amya Mirelez to beat 7A-Creekside 4-1. Creekside was 12-1, now 12-2, and ranked fifth in Class 7A. Oakleaf, 10th in Class 6A, is now 10-4 and travels to the prestigious Kissimmee Klassic tournament this week before an April 11 match against Middleburg, then unbeaten Baldwin (13-0) on April 12. Keystone Heights 8, Palatka 0

Keystone Heights baseball rebounded from an upset 5-2 loss to Orange Park; pitcher Austin Musgrove with eight strikeouts, with a resounding 8-0 win over Palatka on Friday. Middleburg goes big yard twice

With a dramatic 6-0 win over Mandarin with a four-run seventh inning highlighted by freshman Isabell Pifer solo homer after three singles, Middleburg bounced off an 8-3 early deficit against Columbia to win via a two-run homer from Kerra Clarida in the eighth inning to win 11-10.
