GREEN COVE SPRINGS — For 49 years, Clay County Habitat for Humanity has thrived with a goal of providing stability and change to local communities.
And on Thursday, May 14, the nonprofit celebrated their steadfast mission, along with the women who make it up, during their first-annual Women Build Gala. The event preceded the nonprofit's second-annual Women Build event on May 21, which brought women from the local community together to help build a house for a qualified family in need.
"Women are not just part of a home, we are more than that. We are the force behind all of this," said Executive Director Carolina Morrow.
The night's theme was "She Leads. She Builds. She Inspires," as the black-tie event, held at the Clay Theatre, featured a live and silent auction, networking opportunities and a dinner buffet.
