ORANGE PARK – It’s billed as “a day of horsepower, hope and community,” but Saturday’s “Driving Hope Forward” is much more than that.
The event at the Orange Park Mall will raise awareness and support those impacted by addiction and recovery. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can enjoy a car show in the JC Penney parking lot, live entertainment, food trucks, local resources and opportunities to connect with others who have the same questions and concerns.
The car show registration is at 9 a.m., with awards being presented at 1 p.m., and Paul Wane will perform at 1:30 p.m.
However, there will be recovery resources, free Narcan, AED and hands-only CPR training, children’s activities, fire and rescue vehicles and resources offered by Clay Behavioral Health Center, Clay County Fire Rescue’s Paramedicine, haircuts, blood donations to LifeSouth (register at donors.lifesouth.org) and a Lost Loved Ones Memorial.
There is no admission to “Driving Hope Forward,” but there will be valuable recovery resources, education and support for individuals and families.
