GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The tandem of Sherrie Hamilton and Kristi Schermerhorn fought back to win the bronze medal at the three-day Dinkleball Pickleball Tournament Friday behind the Hogans Gymnasium at the Augusta Savage Arts and Community Center. The women from Fleming Island medaled in the 50 and older category, while Gail Rich and Denise Coulliette of St. Augustine won gold, and Tina Mitchell and Dianna Wallace of Land O’ Lakes won silver. The tournament will continue Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m., and proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club of Green Cove Springs scholarship fund.
