FLEMING ISLAND - Hibernia Baptist Church cut the ribbon on a new space dedicated to fostering a meaningful community on Monday, May 11.
Since its founding in 1997—beginning in a local elementary school with the support of partners such as First Baptist Middleburg, the Florida Baptist Convention and the North American Mission Board—God has faithfully grown Hibernia into a thriving church family of over 2,000 members.
Located at 7100 U.S. Highway 17, the new space is designed to serve as a place where people of all ages can gather and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. They said the facility reflects their mission to lead others to know and follow Jesus while strengthening the Clay County community through fellowship, service and outreach.
The ceremony featured addresses from Green Cove Springs Mayor Matt Johnson and U.S. Rep. Aaron Bean. Following that, guests were invited tour the building and eat lunch.
