ROME, Ga. – Oakleaf High graduate and basketball standout Kevin Thomas-Griffin, a 6-foot-10 center, has appeared in 15 games and he had a career high 10 points for the fourth-ranked Georgia Highlands College mens basketball team.
Highlands is currently 15-1 and ranked fourth in the country in the National Junior College Athletics Association.
“Kevin is a great kid and we all enjoy having him be a part of our school and program,” said Highlands assistant coach Matt Williams. “If he continues to work hard to develop his body and his skill set he could have a very productive career at Georgia Highlands. Kevin has improved his shooting and ball handling and he also gained weight since he has arrived at our school.” Williams said that a handful of four year schools have taken notice of Thomas-Griffin.
