FLEMING ISLAND— In the heart of Clay County, Island Hair, located inside Twisted Scissors Salon, is built on a simple belief: clients are more than customers—they're family. Owner Samantha Coleman wanted to show appreciation for several of her senior clients, including one local resident who is 100 years old, who faithfully visit the salon each week. Finding a venue that could comfortably accommodate guests using walkers and wheelchairs proved to be a challenge. That's when the Clay County community stepped in. The owner of Zaxby's in Fleming Island contacted the restaurant's marketing team with an offer to host the luncheon. They not only welcomed the group but also generously provided the luncheon as their treat. Each guest was greeted with fresh flowers by Nathan, personalized name cards, commemorative keychains, and warm, attentive service from Jack and Angela, that made every woman feel celebrated. The luncheon became more than just a meal—it was a reminder of what makes Clay County special: neighbors supporting neighbors and local businesses uplifting one another.
