JACKSONVILLE – As City Councilman Rahman Johnson went station-to-station at last Friday’s Children’s International Summer Village’s (CISV) Youth Celebration, the happier he became that the council is considering adding CISV to its budget for fiscal year 2025-26. That attracted a lot of screams and claps from adults and international children who were sharing the cultures and insights of their homelands at Riverside Presbyterian Day School. Most of the children wore traditional outfits to their homes, and they shared food, candy and trinkets that made their countries so unique. One of the most popular stations was Sweden, because of its large variety of candy, including, of course, Swedish Fish.
