KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – After being docked a year during the COVID-19 pandemic, MotoSurf and MotoSkate will make their debuts at Keystone Beach on Lake Geneva from April 22-24.
Modified racing weekend format brought an extended range of categories and fun elements into the championship. For the first time on America’s continent, fully electric-powered motorized surfboards joined the business and competed in their own class. Motorized skateboards stepped in the game and accompanied the boards on the water which completed a fantastic boards experience.
“This was a huge deal,” said Keystone Heights City Manager Lynn Rutkowski. “We’re looking upwards of 5,000 spectators. This is an international racing event that is happening on Keystone Beach, so this is incredibly huge. We’re looking at a very larger event than our Fourth of July, and our Fourth of July has always been our largest event.”
The three-day event was made possible by the collaboration between the City of Keystone Heights, Clay County Tourist Development Council and Airstream Ventures. The event is free for spectators.
Airstream Ventures has arranged for parking near Keystone Heights High. Spectators when will be shuttled to the venue, courtesy of the Funtastic Fire Brigade.
Fuel-powered motorized surfboards are ultra-lightweight high-tech water machines, with the ability to be transported by car, boat and airplane as personal luggage on international and domestic carrier flight. This allows all MotoSurf racers to travel easily around the world together with their machine – a unique attribute in comparison to other motorized vehicles and motorized sports. This makes MotoSurfing the cheapest, most economical and environmentally most advanced and friendly motorsport in the world today.
Established in 2013, MotoSurf Racing is a new and fast-growing sport. MotoSurf racing is well known in Europe mostly for the MotoSurf World Cup and MotoSurf Continental Cup Europe, where we can more than 100 racers around the world competing in five Categories – Open, Stock, Challenger, Women and Juniors.
MotoSurf racing came to the United States as a new format called MotoSurf Games. The purpose of the Games is to combine thrilling racing action and lots of fun. The concept of MotoSurf Games is not based only on classic racing, but it’s become the combination of classic racing, Electric Challenge relay-race with full electric motorized surfboards, JetSurf TUBE Fun Race and America’s first MotoSkate race. This combination provides a great weekend full of adrenaline, fun and lots of new experiences.
