MIDDLEBURG - Middleburg High cross country and track graduate Emma Mussante, having finished an astounding collegiate career at Florida Southern College, was honored with her choice as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South Region in both the 5,000m and 10,000m and becoming Florida Southern's all time leader in All-Region honors.
Mussante, who posted the FSC third fastest 10KM track time on May 10 in California on May 10 with a sixth place finishing time of 36:25.89, was honored with her two All-Region selections that added to her total of a previous All-Region in track and two All-Regions in cross country.
Mussante set school records in both the 5,000m and 10,000m during the 2025 outdoor season. Her top performance in the 5K came at the Tampa Spartans Open back on February 22 where she became the first Moccasin in program history to run a sub-17 minute 5K. She posted a time of 16:57.11 which ranked third in the region.
Mussante's school record time of 36:00.69 in the 10K ranked fourth in the region while Ana Patricia Campos of Lee holds both times times; 34:25.64 in the 10Km and 16:38.37 in the 5Km.
FSC set four new school records this season including the 5,000m and 10,000m by Mussante and both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay marks.
