ORANGE PARK – My Salon Suite in Orange Park is back open for business.
Barbers, hairdressers, aestheticians and others are back to their shops at their suite on Wells Road. But like most other businesses are taking every precaution to protect the safety of themselves and their clients.
Tim Brose and his wife Lynn, owners of the suite, have been there since December 2019. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and they were forced to close for about six weeks. Now the suite is reopened and rearing to go.
“There are 28 individual suites,” said Tim Brose.
Each of the suites is occupied by one of the barbers, stylists or cosmetologists.
All personnel in the suite are adhering to social distancing guidelines, as is the suite itself. Customers are required to ring into their specific barber or stylist before entering the lobby. They are then advised on whether to enter or to wait in their vehicles – the waiting area is no longer available for everyone’s safety. Once they are buzzed into the building, there is hand sanitizer in the lobby.
“They have a routine of sanitizing,” said Lynn Brose. “Having their clients come in, wash their hands. They’re pretty cautious about it.”
All of the stylists wear masks and wear gloves.
Brose says that safety is a primary concern, from the suites to the lobby, to the restrooms, and even the buzz-in panel outside of the building are disinfected regularly to try and prevent the spread of the virus.
Between the security measures at both the front and back entrances of the buildings, the constant disinfecting, and the protective actions taken by the stylists, barbers, cosmetologists, and their clients, My Salon Suite is reopened and is safely fielding clients.
