CLAY COUNTY – For more than eight years, Navy to Navy Homes, a Jacksonville-based full-service realty and property management firm, has been affiliated with the Homes for Heroes program. Mario Gonzalez, the founder and broker of Navy to Navy Homes has put together a team of professionals who are immensely devoted to their collective philosophy and support the company’s belief and commitment to help make homeownership affordable for men and women. Specifically, the men and women who provide extraordinary services to the nation and local communities throughout Pensacola and Northeast Florida, including Clay County.

Due to their strong beliefs and personal sacrifices, Gonzalez and his associates have once again been recognized by the Homes for Heroes® program as the top donating organization nationwide.

According to Gonzalez, this year, the Navy to Navy team is pleased to have exceeded their cumulative annual expectations with more than $2 million dollars donated to veterans, military families, first responders, teachers, frontline, and essential workers who have served during the pandemic, and beyond.

During the company’s history with Homes for Heroes, Navy to Navy Homes has given back to more than 1,000 recipients. Gonzalez and his team focus on providing affordable housing and essential living support items by contributing a portion of their income on every qualifying real estate transaction which benefits both buyers and sellers.

“We assist those who have served our country and local communities with homes and comfort,” Gonzalez said. “Men and women in the helping professions can experience distance, time, logistics, and budget challenges during the housing process, and also need assistance in everyday living.”

For example, local real estate specialists such as Gonzalez, who buy, sell, or refinance a home for specific customer groups can provide more savings through the Homes for Heroes Hero Rewards program.

With a donation of earnings and commissions, Homes for Heroes Specialists help fund the Homes for Heroes Circle of Giving which strengthens American communities by putting more money directly into the hands of heroes and also serving heroes in need through the non-profit Homes for Heroes Foundation.

According to Abby Waltz, National Director of Homes for Heroes, on average, heroes can save thousands of dollars when they buy or sell a home with a Homes for Heroes specialist including Navy to Navy Homes. The program also offers benefits with mortgages, titles, inspections, and others affiliated with the service. The company’s mission is to provide exceptional savings to those who provide remarkable services to our nation every day.

“Mario and his entire staff have achieved so much, and I don't just mean in the number of people they’ve served,” said Waltz. “They are caring and knowledgeable real estate professionals and we are so honored and grateful to have a group of their caliber with us at Homes for Heroes. They are helping us fulfill our shared mission to thank every hero,” she said. “We could not have reached our full potential as a 20-year-old organization without their help.”

“When clients work with our real estate affiliates to buy or sell a home, they receive a Hero Rewards check back after closing equal to $700 for every $100,000 in sales price that they can use for whatever they’d like,” said Waltz. “Mario and his team have gone above and beyond the affiliation with also providing improvements to homes owned by individuals who are in physical and financial need.” During the month of May and throughout 2021, Waltz and her organization will be honoring companies such as Navy to Navy Homes and many professionals with a 20-year commemoration of the devastating time during 9/11 and her organization’s 20-year anniversary with milestone giving to individuals and families, and significant donations to related service organizations.
