OAKLEAF - The Oakleaf High girls' golf team, led by the one-two finish from junior Angeline Hawkins and her sophomore sister Vanessa Hawkins, took a 215-239 dual match win against Clay High. Orange Park was third.

Hawkins, who hit successfully out of the trees on the treacherous par-3 second hole, salvaged a double-bogey, stayed consistent throughout the nine-hole match with six bogeys, two doubles and one par for the 10-over-46, and the win.

Vanessa was six strokes back in second, with Clay's top two finishers, Charlotte Glavin and Cora Parker, both in at 54 for a tie for third.

Vanessa's best hole was the par-four third, where he managed a par. Glavin and Parker both parred one hole apiece.

Orange Park senior Avery Schaefer was seventh, while Grace Bryie was ninth.

In another match, Fleming Island's girls team, led by freshman Sophia Moody's torrid 2-under-par 34 at the Magnolia Point Golf Course, defeated Clay, 232-263. Parker led Clay with a 62, while teammate Charlotte Glavin was right behind her at 63.

At Eagles Landing, Middleburg defeated Clay, 200-251, as Middleburg junior Braelyn Isbell continued her winning ways with a top round of 9-over 45. Middleburg had three other golfers in the top five - Emily Martin, Chloe Toney and Reagan Stininger. Clay's Parker was fifth at 57, with Glavin sixth at 59.
