JACKSONVILLE – In celebration of its 50th anniversary, HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is proud to announce a donation to Feeding Northeast Florida. This donation will provide 50,000 meals across the region, reinforcing the hospital’s ongoing commitment to the well-being of the community it has served for five decades.
For more than 50 years, Orange Park Hospital has been a trusted healthcare provider, deeply invested in the health and vitality of Northeast Florida. As part of its anniversary celebration, the hospital has partnered with Feeding Northeast Florida to address food insecurity, one of the most pressing issues in the community. The $8,500 donation will directly support Feeding Northeast Florida’s mission to provide nutritious food to those in need, helping to alleviate hunger and improve the lives of local families. With this donation, the hospital is ensuring that thousands of individuals, including children, seniors and families, have access to the resources they need to thrive.
“At HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, we show up for our community,” said Chad Patrick, CEO of Orange Park Hospital. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, it is important to acknowledge the impact we’ve made in the community, and this donation is a reflection of our commitment to continue making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
Feeding Northeast Florida is the region's largest hunger-relief organization, distributing food to more than 495 partner agencies, including food banks, shelters and soup kitchens. This donation will help the organization provide nutritious meals to the most vulnerable populations in the area, including those struggling to make ends meet.
"Access to nutritious food is fundamental to leading a healthy, productive life," said Susan King, President and CEO of Feeding Northeast Florida. "This generous donation from HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital will help provide 50,000 meals to our neighbors in need, directly supporting their physical health and well-being. When hospitals and food banks work together, we create a stronger foundation for community health. We're grateful for partners like HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital who understand that good health starts with reliable access to nutritious food."
The partnership between the hospital and Feeding Northeast Florida represents a shared vision of creating a healthier tomorrow for the local community. As the hospital looks forward to the next 50 years, it remains committed to supporting initiatives that improve both physical health and overall quality of life for all residents of Northeast Florida.
