ORANGE PARK – What started as a rough drawing quickly turned into a centerpiece, if not a masterpiece, of downtown after the Art Guild of Orange Park put its final touches on vibrant mural on the town’s water tank. Once white and drab, the tank now features all the bright colors of Orange Park’s greatest assets – birds, trees and, of course, oranges. The tank is located on the corners of Milwaukee Avenue and Smith Street, directly behind the shopping plaza south of the Kingsley Avenue intersection. According to guild member Phyllis Renninger, more than 400 volunteer hours were spent on the project.
