CCSO: Keystone Heights man busted with multiple child porn files
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – A Keystone Heights man was arrested by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team on Thursday, Oct. 6, after it confirmed a cyber tip that he had downloaded 203 images of child pornography, including one of a child younger than 5.
Tyler Michael Roberts was arrested at his home on Osceola Avenue following an investigation by the CCSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, with assistance from the North Florida INTERCEPT Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).
He was charged with possessing, controlling or viewing depictions of child sexual conduct. Judge Raymond Forbess set his bond at $500,030, and his next court date was scheduled for Dec. 8.
According to a five-page arrest report, the images also included sadomasochistic abuse involving a child and sexual battery, bestiality and movies of a child.
CCSO’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip on May 10 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a person uploading 203 files from a Google Photo account to a storage service.
On May 23, the sheriff’s office obtained a subpoena for the IP address. It came back to Roberts’ address.
CCSO obtained a search warrant on Sept. 11 to view the images contained in the Cyber Tipline Master Report. The images contained child pornography, according to the arrest report.
The home was searched on Nov. 3, and deputies, along with SWAT, returned on Nov. 6 to arrest Roberts.
Since it’s an ongoing investigation, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is asking if anyone has information about the case to contact Det. Andrew Carter at acarter@claysheriff.com or by phone at (904) 264-6512.
