GREEN COVE SPRINGS - The first full day of the Clay County Agricultural featured fairgoers splashed in sunshine, games, music and a busy barn. Terri Clark highlighted the concert lineup at the Cattlemen's Arena, with shows by George Birge scheduled for Saturday, April 4, followed by performances by Brett Young on April 5, Crowder on April 6 and concluding with The Isaacs on Tuesday, April 7. Early Florida Village attracted thousands who wanted to learn about Clay County 100 years ago. New this year is a corn boil that invited children to help shuck corn. Proceeds from the boil will be used to renovate Early Florida Village. The Fair staff, along with Clay County Emergency Management, Fire Rescue and the Sheriff's Office wanted to remind everyone to drink plenty of water, starting a day before you plan to attend.
