GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Monday was a blue-ribbon day at the Clay County Agricultural Fair. Garden clubs and artists exhibited their award-winning displays in the Exhibition Halls as the county’s biggest event headed into its final week at the Fairgrounds. Crowder performed in the Cattlemen’s Arena as the concert lineup got ready to wrap up Tuesday, April 7, at 2 p.m. with performances by The Isaacs and The Alaskan Sunnyside Sisters. With main concerts completed, there still are plenty of other shows scheduled at the Early Florida Village and Community stages until the final day, April 11. There still are plenty of other events scheduled for the final week, like The Ultimate 80s Skate Party with movies “Goonies,” “Breakfast Club” and “Land Before Time” on Wednesday, the Demolition Derby and Beard Mustache contest on Thursday, the livestock auction, Clay County Star Search on Friday, dirt track and flat track motorcycle racing on Saturday and the plant and art auction on Sunday.
