GREEN COVE SPRINGS – No matter the weather, 60 businesses gather every third Saturday of the month in Green Cove Springs throughout the year between September and June. That was no different than on Saturday, Feb, 18, when local vendors flocked to Walnut Street at Spring Park. They sold baked goods, candies, produce, freshly made goods and anything in between, such as wood crafts, fresh honey, and several apparel items, like custom cups, tie-dye T-shirts, baby clothes and more. The event started at 10 a.m. and lasted four hours. Despite cold and gusty weather, hundreds of patrons packed the market. Intrigued locals seeking to get out into the community to support their neighbors enjoyed a day chock full of fun activities and live music downtown nearby City Hall. Vendors also surrounded the beautiful building on Spring and Magnolia streets. The event was organized by the Green Cove Springs Business League.
