State representatives held a town hall meeting on Wednesday, May 14, at the Thrasher-Horne Center in Orange Park.
Two representatives attended the assembly: Angie Nixon, Florida House District 13 in Jacksonville, and Josh Weil, the Democratic candidate who lost to Randy Fine on April 1 for the U.S. Congress Special Election (FL-6). They both answered questions. Other representatives could not attend in person but joined via Zoom to hear questions from county residents.
Many on hand were given two minutes each to share their concerns and opinions on various topics, including education, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, special needs, autism, immigration, funding for fire and police services, and voting in the 2026 election.
