Royce (Russ) Hoy, passed away July 27th, 2025 at the age of 87. Born to parents Howard and Ruby Hoy on April 23, 1938 in West Charleston, Vermont.
Russ was a 17 year Navy and Army Veteran. After leaving the military he worked as a commercial and industrial master electrician retiring in 2010. Russ was a member of the Masonic Lodge 107 F&AM in Middleburg Florida.
He loved fishing, hunting, darts and BBQing and was a member and judge of the Memphis in May BBQ association competing locally and throughout Florida and Georgia. Russ was also a founding member of the Florida BBQ Association.
Russ is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Susan L Hoy, 1 sister Jane Booth of Newport,Vermont his 3 Sons Jeffrey and wife Gerlinde of Germany, James and wife Kathy Hoy of Maryland, Jack and wife Lisa of Florida, 6 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren, and his 2 loving dogs Oreo and Angel.
Services with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville Florida.
