MIDDLEBURG – Thanks to the generosity of local residents and businesses, nearly 400 Clay County families will wake up to toys under the Christmas Tree this year. Behind the work of the Salvation Army’s Help Rescue Christmas toy giveaway. residents and organizations picked up over-stuffed bags of toys and necessities during the three-day event that concluded Tuesday at Clay County headquarters on State Road 220. Many also received Bibles and frozen turkeys as the group continued its mission of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ while meeting the human needs of its community.
