GREEN COVE SPRINGS — Although a rainy forecast was predicted for Saturday, Oct. 3, the crowd at Vera Francis Hall Park was not deterred. And still, they enjoyed a day full of sun and fun during this year's 25th annual Soul Food and Music Festival. Thousands attended the grand festivities, which included a parade, grub from dozens of food trucks and vendors, live performers like the Levert Experience and 69 Boyz, a sweet potato pie contest, a barbecue ribs cook-off and a Children's Fun Zone. The 2026 Soul Food and Music Festival Queen Chanda Nicole Holsey was officially crowned during the opening ceremony, and the parade's Grand Marshal Coach Ron Riddle and honorary Marshal Herbert Wilbert were also honored.
