GREEN COVE SPRINGS — Pragmatic Works officially cut the ribbon to its new headquarters on Friday, March 7.

In attendance were local county officials, leaders and community partners, who also toured the three-story building, which covers 15,000 square feet.

For 18 years, the training company has specialized in teaching people and companies how to become experts in the world of information technology.

From on-demand learning and live boot camps to virtual mentoring and private training, the business aims to help businesses grow and operate more efficiently using data and the latest Microsoft features.

Pragmatic Works Founder and CEO Brian Knight said the company trained around 8 million people last year, including global healthcare and manufacturing companies.

“We’re trying to teach them how to build apps, how to analyze data and how to make the most of their IT,” Knight said.

Following the grand welcome, Knight said he hopes the company will continue to make a big impact. He said the business will bring many high-paying job opportunities to the area.

“Most of our jobs are six-figure pay for the most part,” he said. “And we hire a lot from mostly the community.”

Additionally, the first floor will host commercial rental space for local businesses.

Knight said it was time to expand the company, which was originally based in Fleming Island. After two years of waiting, he said seeing the vision come to life has been incredible.

“To bring it all together, it’s going to allow us to really explode in our growth,” Knight said.
