The woke have stirred an awakening—by accident

Posted

Across America, a surprising thing is happening. In their zeal to silence truth, the “woke” movement has accidentally awakened a sleepy church. What was meant to cancel, confuse, and control has instead caused Christians to stand, speak, and seek God like never before.

In trying to erase biblical values from public life, the culture has unintentionally reminded believers how precious those truths really are.

For years, many Christians grew comfortable. Churches thrived on programs more than prayer, and faith became private instead of powerful. But when darkness grows bold, light must shine brighter.

As Isaiah declared, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1, KJV). What the enemy meant for evil, God is turning for good. The attempt to rewrite morality and redefine truth has driven God’s people back to His Word, back to the cross and back to conviction.

In schools, parents are rediscovering their responsibility to teach biblical values. In workplaces, Christians are finding courage to stand for integrity. In small towns and large cities, prayer gatherings are multiplying, and worship services are filled with renewed passion.

The very pressure meant to suppress faith has purified it. Like gold refined in fire, the Church is rediscovering what really matters.

From God’s perspective, none of this chaos surprises Him. He allows shaking to awaken. When culture mocks righteousness, it exposes the emptiness of a life without truth.

When the world grows darker, even a flicker of faith becomes impossible to ignore. What the woke movement has stirred is not the death of Christian conviction—but its rebirth.

This new awakening isn’t political—it’s spiritual. It’s not about anger; it’s about anointing. Believers are realizing that our battle is not against people but against principalities (Ephesians 6:12).

The true enemy isn’t flesh and blood, but the spiritual blindness that keeps souls bound. Instead of bitterness, God is calling His church to boldness seasoned with grace. Instead of fear, He offers faith that still moves mountains.

God’s people are remembering that revival never starts in Washington—it starts in the prayer closet. It begins when hearts break again over sin, when pulpits preach repentance without apology and when believers love truth more than comfort. The “woke” have stirred something they never intended—a generation that refuses to bow to culture and instead bows before Christ.

Across the heartland, the coasts and everywhere in between, the sound of spiritual awakening is rising. What began as cancel culture is becoming catalyst culture. God is not finished with His people or this nation. He is awakening His Church for such a time as this.

Let the world rage. Let truth still stand. For even in the confusion of our times, God is still on His throne—and His Word still works. The woke may have stirred an awakening, but God is the One writing the story.
