• High winds and heavy rain from Tropical Storm Beryl forced the cancellation of the 25th Annual Concert on the Green.
• The Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested husband and wife Carrol Lee and Lydia Miranda Fenton for child abuse for causing the permanent disfiguration of their son, who was younger than 10.
• Oakleaf Junior High track coach and physical education teacher Mike Ford announces he was leaving the school to move with his family to Georgia.

• Residents express frustration about not getting answers from the Clay County Planning Department and Branan Field Specific Area Planning Committee on what they are allowed to do with their properties as the area braces for new development.
• The James Boys, a group of volunteer carpenters to make home repairs and handicap ramps, earn the top prize of $10,000 from the Reinhold Community Services Award.
• The City of Keystone Heights said it may use eminent domain to purchase 15 acres of land from a local businessman to build a wastewater plant, maintenance yard and skateboard park.
