Keystone Heights (7-3, Region 2-4, lost in region playoff opener) at Crescent City (4-5, region 4-1A, new coach Clarence "Pooh" Williams gone)

Note: Game rescheduled for Sat., Oct. 10 7 p.m. at Crescent City

Game One: Lost to Bradford County 26-0, Umatilla no game

Game Two: Beat Providence 39-7, Umatilla no game

Game Three: Beat Umatilla 35-0

Game Four: St. Joseph Academy (Cancelled)

Game Five: Crescent City (0-3) lost 50-0 to The Villages, lost 62-6 to Wildwood, lost 35-0 to Zephyrhills Christian Academy

Keystone Heights had rough go last year with this traditional sports rivalry, but prevailed. New coach at Crescent City will give Indians slight advantage, but this game looks like an Indian romp.

Clay (1-9, district 5-5A) vs. West Nassau (8-3, region 1-4A, lost as No. 2 seed to Bradford, sixth-seed in region playoff opener)

Game One: Clay beats University Christian 33-12, Palatka loses to Fleming Island

Game Two: Clay beats Orange Park 47-13, Palatka lost to Ponte Vedra

Game Three: Palatka game cancelled

Game Four: Clay beats Eastside 41-14, West Nassau: beat Palatka 43-6, beat Yulee 7-0, lost to Baldwin 36-31

West Nassau a rugged attacking team with all but one of four tough running backs returning. Clay defense gets tested. Coach Kyle Kennard's penchant for tough defense may be the payoff.

Oakleaf (7-3, 8A) vs. Fleming Island (10-1, lost in 7A region semifinal)

Oakleaf

Game One: Beat Buchholz 35-14, University Christian lost to Clay

Game Two: Lost to Lowndes Co. (GA) 37-17 , University Christian beats Bradford

Game Three: Beat University Christian 45-28

Game Four: Lost to Camden County, GA 25-12, Fleming Island (4-0) beat Palatka, Fletcher, Ridgeview, Creekside

Fleming Island

Game One: Beat Palatka 29-7

Game Two: Beat Fletcher 28-20

Game Three: Beat Ridgeview 33-10

Game Four: Beat Creekside 26-23

This game could be best of season for both teams as Oakleaf will possibly be recovering from rugged three weeks of Georgia powerhouses and University Christian while Fleming Island cruises in with just one of four games of high-octane caliber. At home, Oakleaf may unload or be bruised up.

Middleburg (3-7, district 2-6A) at Ridgeview (1-9, district 5-5A)

Middleburg

Game One: Lost to St. Augustine 49-0, Englewood lost to Andrew Jackson

Game Two: Lost to Ridgeview 35-0, Englewood lost to Episcopal

Game Three: Lost to Englewood 34-20

Game Four: Lost to Lee 54-8, Ridgeview beat Orange Park 18-14

Ridgeview

Game One: Ridgeview beats Wolfson 28-7, Fleming Island beats Palatka

Game Two: Ridgeview beats Middleburg 35-0, Fleming Island beats Fletcher

Game Three: Ridgeview lost to Fleming Island 33-10

Game Four: Ridgeview beat Orange Park 18-14; Middleburg lost to Lee 54-8

This could be good game of attrition as both programs need a shot in arm. Panthers may have home advantage and look to show fans that Knauss Kharma works.

Orange Park (5-5, district 5-5A) vs. Bishop Kenny (1-8, district 3-5A)

Game One: Lost to Baker County 49-0, Raines lost to 7A runnerup Venice

Game Two: Lost to Clay 47-13, Raines lost to GA 7A region semifinalist Camden County

Game Three: Lost to Raines 56-0

Game Four: Lost to Ridgeview 18-14, Bishop Kenny (1-3) Lost to Episcopal 42-38, Lost to Parker 41-22, Beat West Nassau 30-21, Lost to Ed White 46-23

Raiders rolling with young personnel finding feet.
