GREEN COVE SPRINGS — According to the city's permit site, an application for a Culver's restaurant is currently in review for the vacant land at 503 N. Orange Ave.
First proposed last December, the 4,439 square-foot building, costing $2.2 million, will include a drive-thru, outside seating and 58 parking spaces. The project will be overseen by Campbell Construction.
Culver's is a popular fast-casual restaurant chain known for its ButterBurgers, sandwiches, seafood and fresh frozen custards. The first one was opened in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin.
If approved, this would be the second Culver's location in Clay County — the other in Middleburg at 1767 Blanding Blvd.
